On Monday morning I woke up the sounds of K's new toys going off down in the living room.  She always comes in & wakes us up but not that day.  She was ready to play.  And it was already 8:30 that morning which is very late for us to get up but after many late nights & no nap on Sunday it was much needed sleep.

Perfect day for her new K-State pajamas.  That was until her & I headed to Taco Hut for lunch.  I was in need of some mexican food.

K singing away that night.  Her 2 older cousins came over for Monday night football but she got them to play downstairs with her until the game started.

Still celebrating Christmas on Sunday...

After eating breakfast & saying our goodbyes in Ellsworth we headed back home to continue our Christmas gatherings.  We stopped by the Deutsch's so K could open some more presents & she couldn't contain herself once she saw them under the tree.  She had good practice from the day before so she worked quickly.  Above is the only family picture I got of us 3 (4 counting junior) during Christmas.  Tired but still hanging in there.  K got that dress from Deutsch's & it came with a matching dress for her baby doll.  There was a fancy black coat as well but I will have to track down a picture of her in it because I forgot to take one.  It was fun to see her all dressed up again since we don't very often.

Aunt C reading to the little ones who think they are pretty funny because they have the book almost memorized.

K upset because she couldn't fit in her high chair.  She insisted on wearing her new large tutu under her fancy dress & it just wouldn't all fit until we did some rearranging.

The crew.

New lip gloss that she put on about 30 times.

Oh yeah my very own pink scooter.  She is officially cool up in the neighborhood now.

And away she went.  Pretty sure she was the only one who could get away with riding a scooter in my parents house.

J asleep after stuffing himself at dinner.  We were actually a little worried about him because we have never seen him go down like that.

K couldn't contain herself any longer & had to give daddy a big hug.  Even though he went back to sleep again.  After seeing what he ate & his long nap you would have thought he was the one pregnant:)  I love this picture though because you can see that big old tutu she wanted to wear.

Christmas Day...

K opening her presents Christmas morning.  She is still thanking us for the McDonalds play set we got her.  She loves to take everyones orders & get their food for them.

K at Grammy's house.  I wish I would have gotten more pictures of everyone with K like we do most years.  But the day seemed to go by so fast.

Opening presents with daddy & uncle J.

Princess K.  She still has a mark on her knee from crashing in her high heels that day but it doesn't stop her from wearing them all over the house.

Christmas Eve...

K playing with her cousins when we arrived for the Morgenstern Christmas Eve gathering.

K not to happy to have to take pictures.  She was the first one to sit down to wait on Santas arrival.

Finally her turn.

After K took her turn she was very interested to see what everyone else got from Santa.  It made it a little difficult for some other parents to get pictures of their little ones though.  K helped this little cousin out at the dessert table that night since she isn't tall enough to reach it yet.

Group photo of all the little great grand kids minus a couple who weren't there.  I love K's face in this one.  She was having a blast!

K thinking she is pretty cool.

Silly faces.

And of course some duck duck goose.  K tried to run everytime even if she wasn't the goose.  So fun to see all the little ones play so well together.  One of my aunts told J while he was chasing K away from the dessert table she loves watching all of us with our little ones now.  Probably doesn't seem like that long ago when they were chasing all of us around.
K seeing Santa for the first time last week.  He just had stopped in to check on K & her cousins to make sure they were all behaving.  And brought a few treats for them.  K & her cousins also went caroling with some of the neighborhood kids.  I have it on video & it is pretty cute.

21 Weeks...

I am 21 weeks as of Tuesday.
Baby boy is around 10-1/2 inches long (which I know I only had 6" a few weeks ago but that was from head to bottom & this includes head to feet) which is about the length of a carrot.
His eyebrows and lids are now present.
The baby has probably begun swallowing amniotic fluid and absorbing small amounts of sugar from it.
The baby's bone marrow, rather than your baby’s liver and spleen, takes over its permanent job of making blood cells.
Baby's arms and legs are in proportion.
As muscles strengthen and neurons connected to her brain continue to develop, her movements become more coordinated.

My check up right before Christmas went good & I go back again next Wednesday.  Everything is going as planned & we pray it continues that way.

I was shopping in Wichita yesterday & found that baby boy clothing is just as cute as girl clothing now.  I am still trying to decide on what to do for the nursery.  I have a few ideas but just can't decide which ones will work best.  You would think after last time I would be more prepared but I just wanted to get through the holidays first.  Kinley went on the shopping trip as well & enjoyed herself.  She just loves to play on the toys at the mall so we sat there for a long time & it was a good break for me as well.  On the way back she thought we were in Hoisington but it was only Lyons & when I told her that she asked "where are the tigers?"   Hopefully I can stay awake tonight to post Christmas pictures.  And hoping as well that the weather report for tomorrow doesn't get that bad.

Finger Painting

I had planned to clean this morning but finger painting with K sounded like more fun.  I figured the cleaning could wait until she takes a nap unless I fall asleep as well:)  K's first reaction to the paints in the picture above.

Okay this is going to be fun!  Look at the crazy hair.

I love this serious face.

She went straight to the tub to wash off the paint & get her hair all fixed for the day.  We headed up to the activity center to run around after that.  And found daddy during his lunch break.  It was so cute K ran up & just hugged on him in front of all the farmers eating their lunches & he didn't mind one bit:)

19 Weeks

Baby's sensory development is exploding. The brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch.
The baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches from head to bottom which is about the size of a large heirloom tomato or summer squash.
Their kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting.
A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
(All facts taken from babycenter.com)

I will have another sonogram tomorrow so it will be fun to see him moving all around again.  I can already feel the little guy moving around especially this past week or so.  Pretty cool feeling!

Want a ride?

K & J on the skid loader over at the shed.  Notice how little K is the one pretending to steer while J just rides along.  I have a feeling she will be the one driving as well when they get to high school.

18 Weeks

A few facts about 18th week of pregnancy:

5 1/2 inches long about the length of a bell pepper & weighs almost 7 ounces.

Baby's ears now stand out from his head.

Baby now can hear! He might hear loud sounds outside the womb.
(I am sure he will be hearing lots of his lil sis K since she talks so loud at times.)

My next doctor's appointment is next Wednesday where we will most likley have another sonogram done.  So I will update everyone again next week on Baby #2.

K helped make a chocolate cake last night.  And we all enjoyed it!

Big drink of milk!

K eating with some of her cousins on Thanksgiving.

Acting like a big girl at the table with all the kids.

K watching the kids play outside.  She didn't last too long because it was pretty cold out there.

Some fun at Grammy's house on Thanksgiving.  K's cage she played in.
