Bottom of K's feet from playing outside.  She was out there another 2 hours after this picture so we had to spray her down before she even got into the tub that night.

Easter egg hunt...

Tired & colded.  A little cold for an egg hunt especially being the end of April.

Easter...

Wearing mommy's high heels.  Can't get these things off of her.

Here is a video of K riding her scooter from a few months ago (Ivan was still around at that time).  She has gotten better each week on the scooter.  She is even brave enough now to pick up her second foot & try to ride along.  Please excuse our backyard as we didn't have it ready for spring time yet.  Jake's grass is coming in lovely again this year so he is super proud!!!

It took two of us tonight to get her pj's on her.  Wild, wild, wild here the last week or so.  Pretty sure she can sense things will be changing soon.  She has done so good with potty training but has had a little trouble this past week but I hope she can get back on track since she was doing such a great job.

She saw another little girl taking her little brother down the slide Sunday at the park & told me Monday when we were back at the park she would take her baby brother down the slide also.  Hopefully she still likes him once he arrives!

Memorizing books...

K has been memorizing all the books we read.  Here is a video of her going through a Dr. Seuss book.

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon.  We were moving Jake home from planting corn so he looked like he had been rolling in dirt all day but glad he was able to come along.  Baby is 6-1/2 lbs now!  Seems huge to us but probably just average size.  Still breach.  He moves a lot but for some reason has been in the same position for months now.  My doctor felt around on my stomach & from looking at the sonogram he is tucked in there tight so he didn't want to try to flip him himself in fear of causing his heart rate to drop or any other problems.  So it's up to the little guy to get himself flipped in the next few weeks.  The doctor said they don't normally flip after 36 weeks but he has seen it happen before so we still have a chance.  Who would have though we would be at 36 weeks though so anything is possible.

Now to keep K out of all the baby stuff we have set up now.  She wants him to sleep in bed with her but I told her that wouldn't be possible for awhile.  She has also told me she will let me know right away if baby brother starts to chew on any of her toys.  She tried to help with all the little ones at a wedding we attended this weekend.  She wanted to hold all of them & squeeze one little guys checks after she watched someone else do it.  Over 700 people at the wedding & it was one of the nicest weddings I have been at.  K played & danced the night away.  We took her to our friends parents house & they asked that we bring K back again soon because they got the biggest kick out of her stories.  She also had a cousins birthday party so it was a loooong weekend.

She is deep into the movie Tangled right now.  We finally rented it yesterday & I am dreading taking it back because I know she is going to keep asking to watch it.

Run K Run!

She loves to be chased around.

Yeah this explains the post before & why we have so many accidents.

I wish I could have gotten a few shots of her bouncing on the ball because it is so funny.  She will go until so falls off or rolls down the slope.

Loves to swing.  I can't believe she hasn't tipped forward yet & fallen off but she somehow manages to stay on.

Shortly after swinging these two had another accident.  They were running through the clothes on the clothsline & both went under a towel at the same time & hit heads.  I heard them hit from the porch & it was an awful sound.  K must have had her head down because her bruise was at the top of her head. Jason got hit right on the forehead though.  We have made it through today with no accidents so far thank goodness.  K has had a rough few days.

K had a little run in with the sidewalk the other night.  This picture was taken the next day.  It was pretty swollen at first but has gone down.

K's favorite place to hang out over at the sheds.  I will have to get some pictures of her new sand box as well.  She has been making sure she gets a chance to practice driving the tractor each time.  My dad couldn't believe she could sing along with a few songs on the radio.  She is good at memorizing songs & books right now.  And also taking over anything that is for the baby:)

35 weeks...

Baby is around 18 inches long & 5 1/4 pounds. About the size of a honeydew melon.
Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same.
His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete.
He'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Anything Like Me...

The following lyrics are to Brad Paisley song "Anything Like Me".  Jake & I have to laugh everytime we hear the song because it could very well end up being juniors theme song.  We have got to get this little guy a name besides Pretzel.  I just keep thinking we will be able to decide once we see him.

I remember saying I don't care either way
Just as long as he or she is healthy I'm ok
Then the doctor pointed to the corner of the screen
And said "You see that thing right there well you know what that means"

And I started wondering who he was going to be
And I thought heaven help us if he's anything like me
He'll probably climb a tree too tall and ride hes bike to fast
End up every summer wearing something in a cast
He's gonna throw a ball and break some glass in a window down the street
He's gonna get in trouble oh he's gonna get in fights
I'm gonna lose my temper and some sleep
It's safe to say that I'm gonna get my payback if he's anything like me

I can see him right now knees all skinned up
With a magnifying glass trying to melt a Tonka truck
Won't he be a sight with his football helmet on
That'll be his first love til his first love comes along
He'll get his heart broke by the time he's in his teens
And heaven help him if he's anything like me

He'll probably stay out too late and drive his car too fast
Get a speeding ticket he'll pay for mowing grass
He's gonna get caught skipping class and be grounded for a week
He's gonna get in trouble we're gonna get in fights
I'm gonna lose my temper and some sleep
It's safe to say that I'm gonna get my payback if he's anything like me

He's gonna love me and hate me along the way
Years are gonna fly by I already dread the day
He's gonna hug his momma, he's gonna shake my hand
He's gonna act like he cant wait to leave
But as he drives out he'll cry his eyes out
If he's anything like me there's worse folks to be like
Aw he'll be alright if he's anything like me

These are from awhile back.  Hope K is as good as with baby bro as she is with her baby dolls.  She was trying to act sad for some reason in this picture.

Fun in a box

Earlier this week K enjoyed coloring in this box.  She waited forever for Jake to get home so she could jump out & scare him.  Baby bro had some more goods delivered to the house.  Always fun to go through all the new stuff & get it put away before sister can get to it.

Sunday afternoon...

K helping daddy work on sprinklers.  She kept saying "I like to get dirty with daddy.  I like helping daddy work"  Made his day!

Time for some fun after her hard work.

She had gotten her pants wet in the sprinklers & was letting them dry.  She didn't put them back on again.  Would rather run free.

Such a fun loving little gal.

J & K playing in the Yukon.  Taking each other for rides.
We had a good time enjoying the nice weather this afternoon.  We even had some mexican food in GB at lunch today.  Good sign you eat too much mexican food when your two year old hollers Playa Azul when you pull into the parking lot.  I just can't get enough tacos from there the past few weeks!  Hope everyone else had a good weekend as well.
