26 weeks & waffles

I was on a Sonic kick a few weeks ago but now I can't get enough waffles.  These were a couple I ate mid afternoon the other day.  K has been enjoying them for breakfast herself.  Goes great with her frozen blueberries she loves to eat.  Probably eat a couple for dinner tonight after seeing this picture.  And I normally am not a big breakfast food person but pregnancy does some weird things to your body that is for sure.

We have finally arrived at 26 weeks!!!!!
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other.
He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air.
He's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take two to three days.

I had another good check up at the doctor today.  The length of my cervix had changed just a little bit but not much at all.  Thank goodness no drastic changes like after the holidays.  We went over reasons why I should come in to the office even if it's a false alarm again & a couple different options for if he does come early.  Wouldn't it be great if we could just deliver in GB & bring the little guy straight home!  So glad my doctor takes the time to discuss things ahead of time so we aren't surprised last minute though.  But lets just keep praying the little guy stays put.  Just ready to be past the next few weeks & at least get to 30 weeks so we can relax a little bit more.  I just really don't want to end up in Wichita having to leave K behind but if it is what is best for his health & mine we will do it & get through it like we always do.

I am excited for next weeks appointment also because we will get to see the little guy moving all around again.  They are wanting to check his measurements & see how he is doing.  The last few times they have just checked the length of my cervix & not checked on him during the sonogram.  The doctor just listen to his heartbeat each time though.  If Jake can come along we might take K along so she can see her little brother in action.
